Participants in the MLI’s programs agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

APPLICATION & ENROLLMENT

• Applications for enrollment in any one of MLI’s courses are submitted on-line. Should you experience difficulties with our online payment facility, contact us for alternative means.
• MLI acknowledges the submission and adds your name to the corresponding section upon verification of funds transfer. However, any enrollment may be canceled should misleading or fraudulent information is provided.
• Enrollment in the Summer Language Institute (SLI) starts on February 1 of any given year and runs until sections all closed. Availability of seats in any given section is monitored on-line. 

RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Participants agree to abide by the general and course-specific activities as outlined in their respective syllabi made available ON-LINE before registration.
• Electives are an integral part of the program and may include other students from different sections with varying linguistic competencies and backgrounds.
• Participants are expected to behave appropriately, dress properly, and cooperate willingly. MLI reserves the right to warn violators and terminate an admission should a need become necessary.

COURSE LEVEL PLACEMENT

• Initial enrollment in a particular level might be adjusted upon the recommendation of the instructor and with the consent of the participant.

FEES

• While MLI charges $65.00 for any application during the pre-registration period, the fee is deducted from the total remaining amount.
• While fees are paid upon successful registration through our online payment facilities, participants may pay by bank transfer (bank details are given upon request) or by Express-mailing a bank check to MLI 23 Rue Montibœuf 75020 Paris, FRANCE.
• While pre-registration in any section grants you a seat, final registration is pending successful funds transfer of the course full amount.
• MLI honors $US dollars and Euros. Other international currencies require MLI’s prior approval.
• Payments may be made in advance for a maximum of SIX months.
• Participants are responsible for any unpaid transfer charges if any.
• MLI reserves the right to amend its fees in which case participants will be notified.

REFUNDS

• In case of pre-registration cancellation, the $65.00 are not refundable.
• MLI will refund 50% of the total fees in case of an early cancellation with at least 30 days notice before commencement; 25% within the last month.
• MLI will refund participants the full paid amount should a designated course is cancelled for any particular reason such as low enrollment or insufficient personnel. 
• MLI will refund participants by bank transfer in US dollars OR Euros to the account of the fee payer.

HOUSING

• Participants are requested to fill out a housing form (MLIHAF) in which they state their residential option.
• MLI assists participants by providing necessary information and booking on their behalf upon request. However, final housing arrangements are the ultimate responsibility of the participant.
• Participants must notify MLI of any residential and other contact details’ changes during the session.

LOSS OR DAMAGE

• Participants are held responsible for any personal items lost, stolen, or damaged during the session. Thus, MLI accepts no responsibility in the case of such incidents.

PRIVACY POLICY

• Participants’ personal and academic information will be used for administrative and educational purposes during the registration and session periods. Further consent will be sought for using of such information for future correspondence.

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS

While MLI will provide every support they can to facilitate the arrival and the stay of each participant coming from a far away country, participants are liable to the following:

• Satisfy the immigration requirements by applying ahead of time for the appropriate visa.
• Hold a valid travel and medical insurance that will cover any potential medical cost.
